In the grade of good- Details on liberty's head party visible, even wear in dates and legends value $18, grade fine- All hair lines visible, hair cords uniformly visible value $30. The last grade I will list is very fine- Hair cords only slightly worn, hair lines only partly worn, all well defined value $75. The mintage of the 1827 Matron Head large cent was 2,357,732. I hope you meant cent here and not British penny. If so re ask question. I hope I have helped some. Above prices are about what a coin dealer would pay.

Well, according to an inflation calculator, it would be worth roughly $0.17 today. I would try to do some research on the web for coin clubs etc, and shoot an e-mail off to them with pictures. If that doesn't yield any results, I would try going to a local coin shop.

It depends how rare your penny is. I think it's worth from 5-15 dollars if you are lucky

No, but it sounds like it could be worth something.
I would look on the internet or go to a coin dealer.
