We have just bought a house for a great price and the previous owners were disgusting pigs. We are ripping up the carpets and now we need a good deodorizing/sanitizing product b/c the previous owners let their cats do there business everywhere. If you know of a good and cheap product please tell me about it!!!!

Remove the carpets wash the floors with a strong cleaner, any will do, even laundry detergent. Let dry then apply 1 to 2 coats primer Kilz, Bin or any sealer recommended by paint store. Oil or alcohol base are superior to latex in this application.

Here's a great natural antiseptic spray that you can mix up yourself and is environmental friendly:

Mix 3 Tablespoons of Dr. Bronner's concentrated liquid soap and 25 drops (or more) of tea tree oil in a 16 oz. spray bottle, and fill to top with purified or distilled water. Shake to mix. Squirt it anywhere to clean up all those nasties.

This wonderful spray cleaner can be used to clean just about anything...incuding floors, doorknobs, bathtubs, toilets and more! It's also a refreshing alternative to those expensive antibacterial soaps. Happy cleaning!!!

Make a bleach and water solution and mop everywhere. Then let the place airdry for awhile.

I would Lysol cleaner, the kind in the brown bottle. IT disinfects and deodorizes.

any kind of baking soda or a product with baking soda in it will absorb odors, try it.
