When I write about the biography of a person I introduce the person with their date of birth and death, their profession , the state they lived;any nickname or titles they were called ; and a brief description of their greatest accomplishments.
The body of the essay should go into more detail about the person'slife and the conclusion should be summary of what was written in the introduction or body without too much rehashing. An example of a biography would be the following:

Robert LaFollette was born on June 14, 1855 in Primrose Wisconsin. He died on June 18, 1925 at 70 years of age.
He was known as the founder of the Progressive Party which called for political reform of railroads and other industries. He was a member of the House of Representatives and the US Senate in the years of 1891-1897 and 1905 -1925. He spoke out against privelege and campaigned and worked for reform that rustled many feathers of his own party. He ran for President in 1924 and won his home state but after his death the Progressive movement went into decline.

Then I would go into more detail about his life and a good summary conclusion.
