1987 world cup was held in India and Pakistan in Octobr 1987 and the 1992 world cup was held in Australia and New Zeland in February 1992. Since climatic conditions between these countries differ substantially, it was not possible to conduct the world cup exactly after 4 years since 1987 as the matches should be played during the period most suitable for playing cricket.
