Your breast can become sore just before or during your menstruation. It's due to the extra hormones you produce during this time. They also can become sore if there is some kind of trauma to them.

I got tender breast when I was pregnant, and let be tell you that is most of my life. Sometimes you get tenderbreast when you sleep in a different place or if you had any phisical contact in that area. Sometime it all so could be how old you are and what you are going through in life. Trust me they are not going to be tender for ever, it will just take a few days, unless you are pregnant, then it could be a few months. Just take advil or other medicines and the pain will go away.
Good luck!
If you are pregnant congrats!!!

Most women assume that sore and painful breasts is only caused by pregnancy or during your monthly cycle. Unfortunately this is not always the case. Because we don't know more about your situation I looked into the subject on the net to see if I could find the best information available on the subject for you. I hope you eventually visit your doctor about this. Please note that I am not the Hannah named on the bottom, I just felt it was appropriate to put her name there since it was her original comment.

I took this excerpt from the link below.

At your age, sore breasts can mean anything from pregnancy to fibrocystic breast condition to hormonal imbalance, among other reasons. Please check the information on painful breasts at http://www.imaginis.com for information and recommendations for management. Be sure you are not pregnant before taking any supplements or medications.

In pregnancy your breasts will grow and engorge with milk so you will have tinder breasts for that reason. If you have pulled a muscle underlining the breasts. Or it could be something more serious.

besides the normal, periods, pms, preg. you can also have sore and tender breasts from to much caffeine, believe it not. Caffeine is the worse thing for your breast. It's the first thing they make you cut out when you have breast cancer.
