I'm about 5'6, 140 lbs, and size 36-D bra. I would like to go down to a full B, but I want to make sure this wouldb't be too small. I have a small waist and frame-most of my weight lies in my chest and hips. Is a B too small? Also, when I mentioned it to the doctor, he frowned and said he's rather make me a C-cup. I've lived with a heavy chest all my life; he hasn't. When I go to my pre-op visit, how should I convince him to make me a C? Many women I've spoken to said they loved their results, but wished they had been a bit smaller. I don't want to be one of those women. Please share some ideas.

Good for you. I am sure that the physical aspect of your large breasts has been a tortuous one. You have to do what you feel is good for you. The doctor is at your service not the other way around. You should not have to convince him of anything. He may want you to go to a C cup so that you will eventually have to come back again and spend more money to get the results you want. Don't let him sway your decision. If he cannot get with the program then find another doctor that will give you what you want. Just make sure that there is no other reason that he wants you to have a C cup. Good Luck!!

He could say he could make you a B cup, BUT depending on the tissue and whatnot he might not be able to safely get you to a B cup without risking the breast health, which is why he is probably suggesting a C cup.

At your next appointment reiterate that you would like to be a B cup and inquire as to why he would rather have you at a C cup.
