I won't say illegal...but you can gaurantee that the store manager will ask you to leave...and they have the right to do so.

I'd love that idea but I don't think the general public would see it as I do. You'd need to sheath your sword and claymores usually don't have a sheath. They were meant to take the legs out from under horses and that's why they are so long. I own 2 of them and about 48 other swords. You'd be better off with a one handed sword from the English days of old. They had sheaths and they would go much better than a claymore sense the Scottish didn't have plate mail.

HAHAHA !!

Well, it would depend on the STATE the Wal-Mart is in !! Though the STORE can also refuse service.

The ARMOR shouldn't cause a problem as long as your face-shield is up... down it might be considered a "mask" and therefore illegal.

The Claymore would probably be a problem... California doesn't permit any stabbing weapon or edged weapon over 2-3 inches in length (PC 653K, PC 12020(24))

it's funny you should mention this. this exact thing (minus the armor) happened at my local walmart in cape girardeau, mo a few years ago. a guy went in and starting swinging a sword around. it freaked people out and was viewed as an act of aggression.

probably not the wisest thing to do.

The Armour is completely OK, however wielding a sword in public is probably not a very bright idea.

Armor , whatever . .
Sword , fake . . . Whatever . . .
Sword , real . . . that is a weapon and there are laws against carrying / brandishing weapons . . .
Of course , then you should not mind if the SWAT team uses you for target practice ,
Just for the fun of it , of course .

they may have a problem with the sword, but the armor should be ok.

The armor is probably ok, but I doubt they'd allow the weapon.

It is probably legal but would be hot & uncomfortable...
If you want attention, just wear a big dunce cap...
