What a question!
I could gather together all the friends I've ever made and all the events I've experienced and say that they were all possible because of them;that even the framework i have for experienciing joy is a result of what they taught me and how they brought me up
I could thank my mum for her strength and gently rib her for maybe setting the bar a bit too high in my expectations of women
I could thank my dad for his romantic streak; for planting a tree when I was born that I have grown with and watched broaden and expand through the years, as my little link to nature
But to be honest, we are so close that I don't think have to;our affection is so natural, even now, that saying things that are so implicit might even cheapen the thoughts by their utterance
Yeah, my parents are rockin'! lol

Mom. Your divorce was in 1987... Get over it. ...And don't ever bring up your feelings & opinions about my dad, with my kids again. They know him who he is now. You need to get over your issues and forgive him, and take responsability for your own faults. I respect you, I love you, but I don't trust you.
Dad. You drink too much and smoke too much too. Glad you quit the pot. Although you were a mental case in my youth, It was cool to have a mental dad. I'm glad we worked through the crap Pa. You have no idea what that means to me.
I respect you both. I have love for you both.
...I have been wanting to get that out for 20 years... And all it took was a question on Yahoo...
I'm calling them now. Thanks Teacher. I owe you an apple.

Actions usually speak louder than words. If they mean alot to you even a nice hug and spending time with them would be nice.Treating them with their favourite treats any other day besides birthdays and Christmas is nice too.I love you would also make the difference.

Ma: Most of the reasons I drive people insane, you gave me. Thanks for that, I'd hate to be too ordinary.
Bio-Dad: For the rest of the reasons, I'll always raise a glass to you, man. Take care, wherever you are.
Stepdad: For making me sure of what I don't believe in, I'll always owe you a good big chunk of my heart. For stepping in and keeping us warm and never making me feel second-rate, you're my hero, and my favourite fascist in all the world.

You allowed me the intellectual freedom to become a more flawed individual than either of you ever were, and for that I thank and love you both from fathomless bottom of my heart.

Good Question. I'm fortunate to be ale to tell my Mother, just what she means to me. And I do just that, most every weekend. I'm glad to see these touching questions. Instead of all of the ridiculous, anger-filled, ego types. I hope you have a good day!
