If you have diabetes (I'm assuming type 2 - type 1s will get little benefit unless they are type 1 and 2/type 3) it is very important that you take any medcine that your dr has prescribed you - there have been cases where people have died because they favored alternative diabetes medicine over the drs. Also if you are being treated using insulin or tablets that put you at risk of a hypo (low blood sugar - you'll know if you are) be v carefull and check your blood sugar a lot, esp. at first - sometimes these things work too well and people get into serious trouble with hypos. Diabetes is a v serious condition and should not be treated lightly. That said, esp. if you are currently diet treated, there are some good effective things that you can take to help - cinnamon is good, and the Indian ayurvedic fruit amla is also v good - it lowers blood sugar and protects against eye dammage that diabetes can cause. Hope that helps xx

Recent research has shown that 1 tsp of cinnamon every day helps lower blood sugar. You can get it in your diet or take supplements. See the links below for more information.
For the above posters, high blood sugar levels in diabetics aren't caused simply by eating too much simple sugar or foods that convert easily to sugar.
In their case, ALL sugars (which all food is eventually converted to) are not able to get from the blood through the cell walls to feed the cells, so they stay in the blood resulting in high blood sugar. Insulin and glucophage both help unlock the portals through the cell walls to let the sugar in where it's needed and so they reduce the sugar levels in the blood.

I am writing to tell you what an incredible impact these methods had on my life! I have had type 2 diabetes for 27 years. For me, the worst part of this horrible disease is the severe pain I constantly get in my feet. The pain is so bad that I avoid standing and walking as much as possible. I've got to tell you that within the first month, my feet stopped hurting altogether and I can now walk totally pain free.
Believe it or not, I even danced at my niece's wedding last month, something I have not done in a many years. I've been following the book for six months now and my blood sugar is well within normal range. I feel great!
I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.

Daily exercise is the best way to regulate blood sugar levels, by far over any medication, herbal supplement, vitamin or mineral. An exercise program should include cardio, strength training, and flexibility as part of its components. Try doing cardio 20-30min daily along with strength training 2x/week. And about 10-20min of stretching/yoga daily.

Fenugreek
I visited Egypt last year and after meals I was given a "tea" of hot water with seeds in it, which I was told would help me digest my meal - several of the locals were drinking it. It wasn't unpleasant but smelled rather like curry. On investigation I found that this was "helva" or fenugreek seeds and they are recommended for reducing sugar levels in the blood. Many of the diabetic expats out there swear by it.

Mustard is a secret bulge-buster. That boosts your metabolism and raises natural ephadrine, the hormone which burns fat. According to Jeya Holly, professor of human nutrition at Oxford Brookes University, just a tablespoon as part of your food can reduce a flabby waist by 20 per cent!

Sugar level in the blood is normally high after a meal, but it is already abnormal if it remains persistently high after 4 hours from the meal or even after 8-hour fasting. This happens when your body's ability to use this sugar is impaired, like when your pancreas is deteriorated and could not produce enough insulin (so that sugar can be used as energy or converted to fat if it is in excess, it has to enter the cell, but it cannot pass the cell wall without being attached to insulin).
So the first logical action is to reduce intake of carbohydrate foods, since your body is no longer a good user of carbohydrates as source of energy (not only sugar, all carbohydrates eaten becomes sugar inside the body before it becomes energy or fat if it is in excess), to a little below your daily requirement (like 20% less). To complete your energy requirement, eat foods that are rich in medium-chain triglycerides (MCT). MCT becomes medium-chain fatty acid inside the body which is a quick source of cellular energy. It can pass the cell wall by itself, not needing insulin, or carnetin like in the case of long-chain fatty acid from meat fat. One convenient way to do this is to take 4 tablespoon of Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO) daily. About 65% of VCO is MCT.
