Of course they will last. The sewing machine wasn't invented until the 1800's. People wore clothes and worked hard in them, and they stayed together.

It will last but not any longer than machine sewn, assuming it is well done. Isn't your time worth something? If you like sewing by hand why don't you make a quilt. The hand sewn ones are a piece of art.

I second what Kacky said. They will last. And, hey, if you enjoy hand sewing it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks.

yea it will last ,but u have 2 use nice kinda lock stitch....namely a back stitch would do....but only in case of cotton materials don try on synthetics,.....waste of tyme!!!
