I'm 16, I have a job and I'm active in church and I'm pretty artsy. I have never done a drug in my life, and I've never smoked. I'm about as straightedge and as happy as you can get. I live with my mom, and she said that it's okay, but I know that my dad & stepmom {who aren't exactly active in my life} wouldnt like it. I'm already not exactly Miss Abercrombie; my hair is mostly black w/ blonde and pink layers. Anyways, I need to know how to hide it when I go over to their house, because they think that if you look "bad", then therefor you must be horrid. Help!

honestly, i just don`t think it`s going to be possible to hide it, i mean it`s in a pretty prominant place, right??? just talk to them & express your feelings to them, if u tell them how u feel, & why u like the piercing & so on, maybe u can help them understand a bit better...i think it`s much better for a teen to have a piercing, than to be doing drugs, drinking alcohol, & engaging in unsafe sex!!!

If they are not active in your life then why do you care about what they think if your dad really doesn't want you to have a lip ring then he should have told you not to if you live with your mom then she is the one that can give you her opinion because there really is no way to hide a lip ring!
