Hot Shot, Home insect control. I use the clear formula and I get it from Home Depot. It's under 10 bucks. I have two cats and it really works. You may want to isolate them in a room until you're done. It comes with a sprayer (not aerosol) that you can control. It lasts for 9 months, just follow the directions. I started using it after I paid big money for an exterminator.

I have the Bait you have been looking all over for. My friend told me about this stuff because I had a bad Ant problem. It was a nightmare, I tried everything... Chalk, Bay Leaves, Boarax and nothing worked. Then my friend told me to get Terro ant bait. It is Liquid and you can get a 2 ounce bottle for like $6.00. I bought mine from Home Depot, The Ants are attracted to it. You will see Millions around it. They eat this stuff and take it to the Queen and in about 2 weeks they are gone. I highly Recommend it!!! :o)

I have a similar problem. Diluted lemon-scented Lysol seems to run them off- at least, I've not seen them in the kitchen in a while, after scrubbing like a mad-woman.

I have a cat and he never messed with the Little round bait traps, but if you have any small children I would make sure to hide them well.
