See a dermatologist, which is a skin doctor. He or she will be able to analyze your problem and tell you what is best for your skin.

Also, on the issue of Proactive: Make sure you use the proper amount. Even if you have a particularly bad breakout, using too much will damage your skin and hurt your eyes, since it is a chemical product. When starting Proactive, your acne will get worse. This is because it is bringing the dirt and grime inside your pores to the surface so it can be washed away. However, patience pays off. After a few weeks, your skin will begin to get better. Less dirt is in your pores, so less has to be brought to the surface in the form of blemishes.

Avoid using rubbing alcohol. It dries your skin out, which gets rid of existing blemishes, but can cause more to occur. Keep your skin moist by using a low-grease/oil moisturizer.

Good luck!

I tried Proactiv before for about a month, and it dried my skin out completely! Like, at school people would come up to me and say, "Hey, why are there flakes on your face?" I'd say if rubbing alcohol is working for you, stick to that. I use Clean & Clear Deep Clean Astringent. You also might want to try using something new.

I genuinely have hyper tender dermis. I used Proactiv at the same time as it first got here out and it worked ok, yet after a lengthy time period the drugs no longer worked for my dermis. presently i tried to get decrease back on it, notwithstanding it really is not any longer operating. Worst, the peroxide burned my face because it became too good. Proactiv isn't for all and sundry and it would properly be too good for those with tender dermis. i ought to work out a dermatologist. some thing that i love is Benzaclin. it really is blended with Benzol Peroxide and Clindamycin. back maximum zits products are not for all and sundry. by technique of seeing your dermatologist they could see how undesirable your zits is and provide you a more advantageous perfect theory on a thanks to look after it. you are able to also ask them for samples that you ought to attempt it out earlier you easily get it.

I have a personal vendetta against ProActive. Yes. I hate the stuff. It drrrrrrrrrriiiiiiiieeeeessss out skin. I don't have an acne problem at all (I used my husband's bottle while I was in the shower). It's horrible. My skin has gone crazy. It's been so insanely dry that I had to go to the doctor for prescription lotion.

I'm not trying to scare you (sorry if i did), but that's my personal experience with it. Just wanted to give you a heads-up just in case.

(My brother agrees with me. But he has dry skin.)

If you can get your hands on Clear.now I totally would. I had bad acne and tried everything you could imagine including Proactiv but now I use Clear.now and I love it. It's a cleanser, toner and moisuriser as well but it actually clears your acne up and keeps it from coming back.

Do you want to burn your eyes again??? I think not. My sis used proactiv and it made her skin even worst. To figure out what works the best for you i would see your dermatologist. zit creme helps a bit. Proactiv is different on everyone.

i used proactiv, but i ran out and couldnt get a hold of anymore after that, so i just went back to using clearasil and neutrogena products. To me, they are the best brands. and it helps to use witch hazel instead of alcohol because its better for your skin, and it works.

I would recommend you going to a drug store or a dermetologist! Proactiv is only for certain people, so definetly check it out first

baby can you stick with a clinical treatment tha thas become almost cult -like in it's influence? don't listen to the nay-sayers, have faith that your over-plethoric endowed face will iimprove. Close your eyes, kick your heels and repeat "baby's toe, baby's toes". Now doesn't that feel better?
