I'm interested in proposing to my girlfriend but I have a bit of a dilema. In a way I'm really just doing it to keep her around as she constantly keeps talking marriage even though we've only been living together for 3 years now.
I've got another girl I'm interested in also and although we've hooked up numerous times I think she's not really serious about leaving her husband and moving to my city to further the relationship.
My plan is to buy a good looking gold plated CZ ring and see how that goes. I figure if things go south with the live in girlfriend I'm not out too much.

Dude, crap or get off the pot. If you don't love the woman, then break it off. Don't ruin her life just because you can't commit.
You might also want to get a leg up on the maturity scale and start looking at women that aren't married...

The first thought that comes to mind is that, either your current girlfriend has tortured you somehow and or behaved horribly towards you, or someone from your past has done this...that is the only logical explanation for you to be so heartless to this woman. If you're not serious about the relationship, then be strong enough to stand up and say,
that you are not interested.
If you enjoy being with numerous women at the same time, then be honest about it. Trust me, there are many women out there willing to go along with this idea. To each his own.
However, your girlfriend seems to be taking your relationship seriously, so instead of blowing her mind by giving her a sorry excuse of a ring, tell her what you need from life. Be upfront with her.
Give her the chance to let go and be happy...The two of you have even lived together for 3 years. There must have been something there that caught your eye/interested you. But since its more than obvious that its over and done with...For her sanity, and reality check...let her know it is through.
This will not only give you a chance to find someone, or as many as you like, but the fact that you can be honest about it to yourself and partner(s) will make you not have to hide behind lies and deceit.
There are many people out there that have numerous partners and all of there significant others know and accept it.

Ok this is what you do... since you are such a dill hole, save the 20$ you will spend on a fake engagement ring, for you very dedicated loving girlfriend of three years, spend 10$ of that to buy a phone card to call your cheating mistress to say bye one last time (because she's not going to leave her husband for you or she would have by now) and use the other 10$ to buy some lube and a good porno because when this is all over your girlfriend will figure out what kind of guy you are and you will be alone. You are the reason women don't trust men! You've taken 3 yrs of her life for a lie?! You've cheated & just keep her there in case your adulteress won't leave her husband for you. Why would she? 1. You've been with girlfriend for 3years
2. Have had I am assuming an occasional booty call with a married woman
3. There is no real committment there between you and the married woman yet you can decide on whether or not to give you longterm girlfriend a ring or not
How about this you keep the money for the ring and buy yourself a clue and break up with girlfriend b/c that seems like your next option if the cheating wife decides to be with you

The only thing that makes it not ok is that you dont sound too seroius yourself.
I had a real ring, its was nice, half a carat lost it, and my wedding ring is CZ. But this was after 5 years of fidelity.
Personally I could care less about the ring, its just a symbol. But Im sure your girlfirend has doubts about your extra-cirricular activities. We have intuition. Its what we dont know that hurts us the most. I wouldnt be suprised if it went south anyways.

I think you need to have a MRI of your brain done. Your obviously suffering from a oxygen occlusion ( lack of sufficiently oxygenated blood to the brain, which enables you to think like a rational adult), and need medical attention!
Are you serious? You can't be! You've been with you primary girlfriend for 3 years, and haven't married her. She's right to want more from you....how long do you plan to sample the milk and not buy the cow?
