I think I understand your drift.
You are complaining that people with too much spendable income are living it up, better than you, I think.
Well, as a retired person who has saved up all my life and not spend on alcohol and ciggies to any great extent, I take as many holidays as I like and travel about as much as I want to so, does that include me?
No. I thought not. The time will come when those you see spending so much on the 'good things in life' will appear less and less affluent. Cheer up Matey, the grass might seem greener on the other side but it's not!

Not necessarily so. I think maybe because they live in the fast lane, they haven't got time to care for others but it doesn't mean they are by nature selfish. Some people don't have a choice. They just have to live in the fast lane.

i don't live in the fast lane now my age doesn't permit but i made provisions and worked very hard for my life in later years and i travel as much as i want (just back from a very wet Spain) I have everything i want so i just look around me and i see people just the same now as they always have been that is spend as soon as they get it others are doing as i did so i guess there will always be folk who look at people who they consider are well off because they planned it that way and feel rather bitter against them

I disagree. I think people that drive in the bus lane are selfish. Prawns are definitely shellfish. Prawns that drive in the bus lane are very, very selfish shellfish. I need another drink.

I do care, and agree with you. There are just too many of the idiots to do anything on my own.
