Hi i just want to know what happened in moonlight mile, what is that "secret burden that is breaking her heart" it always says in plot summaries? can anyone help?

Isn't moonlight mile the film with Jake Gyllenhaal, Susan Sarandon and Dustin Hoffman? I'm not sure what the tag line you quoted refers to.
From what I can remember about the film is that Gyllenhaal plays the boyfriend of Hoffman and Sarandon's daughter. Their daughter is killed (I think in a care accident) and Gyllenhaal goes to stay with them. They are all very upset but he cannot tell the parents that before his girlfriend died they actually were on the brink of breaking up anyway. He doesn't want to hurt them with this news, but he also wants to move on with his own life. He meets this girl that works in a bar and starts seeing her behind their back...
It's an OK film, the cast are great, but the writing isn't fantastic.
