A couple items:
Either way typically the body needs a balance to maintain a fertile environment. You might look to see what is out of whack: in your diet, emotional/spiritual life, physical life. To maintain a stoichiometric environment.

1) Stress from life can cause extra hormones to be released in the body causing women to skip 1 or more periods. Also excessive exercise is common for this.

2)The body is a delicate balance you can also get a blood test done to check for abnormal, or deficient nutrients and chemicals in the lady's system.

3) It might be an onset of menopause. In rare cases women can go through this early. There are a finite amount of eggs within the lady's reproductive system.

4) Pregnancy is also a possibility. Due to the onset of pregnancy massive amounts of hormones are released causing the ovaries to stop a period. This is in effect what "The Pill" is based off of.

5) The rare case is if the woman has been, or is currently, promiscuous with multiple partners. This can adversely affect her reproductive organs. Thusly causing her to go sterile. This has been an occurrence in Hookers/escorts/ and other "Free Living lifetyled people"

There is a reason various cultures refer to the body as a temple. It needs to be taken care of to work within human tolerances.
Hope this helped :)

I would go see a doctor..
it might mean ur pregnant even if you used protection.. unless you have never had sex
or if you have been dieting or are severly over/underweight this can affect periods and make them arratic or you can miss some
but still.. dont just wait.. go see a doctor otherwise if there is something wrong in worst circumstances you may become infertile, but if you see a doctor now chances are youll be fine

if there is no reason to think you are pregnant, don't worry to much. I had a period some times only twice a year. That was just the way I was. Made it hard to get pregnant. So, if you are really concerned go see a doctor.

I would go see your doc for a check-up. You could be pregnant, peri-menopausal, or have you dropped a lot of weight, females athletes lose their period due to lack of body fat. So, there are many variable which need to be checked out professionally.

Go see a doctor. You are either pregnant or have some other medical issues that a doctor should clear up before it leads to you being sterile.
