Attempted to write a novel, excitedly scrawl a masterpiece which covers five A4 pieces of paper, and then realise, it's just not going to happen?

Yup. It's usually the next morning when I wake up, all excited and high on my own genius, go to re-read my opus and realise that it's crap. Depressing, isn't it?

I started writing a novel some years back on the computer and had written about 70 pages but I regretted it..so I'm writing a new one which is more of a fiction-novel.

Constantly.

Then training kicks in and I outline.

Starting at the plot point, going first backward to the begining, then forward to wards the end.

Suddenly, all I need to do is "Flesh out" the rest.

And TaDa, 6 months have past and my agent says, "Hey, I know you. Where have you been? Put on a little weight."

I remember the times when I used to smoke something a bit stronger than Camel, then would write songs under the influence, only to realise how crap they were by the time I was straight...

Ive had about 3 false starts. Im complentating writng a new one. Its getting around to starting. My work has sent me to canada for several months, so with no tv and nothing much else to do I might as well give it another shot!

No I've never even attempted to wirte any sort of novels or books period. I don't know how some people can do that. But I tip my hat to them.

Aw, don`t !
Spent two years writing, and then p.c. crashed big time, and lost the lot !
I know, i know, i should have saved it as i went, but, hindsight`s a wonderful thing !
