He's not a great actor by any means.
However, he is a great MOVIE STAR!
Actors and Movie Stars are 2 different animals :-)
He's got that charisma and appeal to pack a theatre and keep his fans coming back for more the next time. It has nothing to do with the fact that he couldn't act his way out of a box...LOL! Other great movie stars that couldn't act if their life depended on it were:
Marylin Monroe
Elvis
Jean Claud Van Damme
Chuck Norris
(Okay MOST karate type action stars...lol)
Oh and don't forget the KING, Arnold Swartz.... lol!
Personally, I'd add Matt Damon and Brad Pitt to the list, but they have surprised me about twice now! lol!

Owen's not the greatest actor by far, but he's good in comedies. That's his niche. Wedding Crashers, Shanghai Knights/Noon, and of course Bottle Rocket.

Owen is a good actor but has had some bad rolls, I mean he was really good in Wedding Crashers, I think he needs to find some better rolls though. I would like to see him in a serious role I think he could handle it.

I think that he is a decent actor...he always tends to play a remotely depressed character, or a guy who always seems to get the short end of the stick. But, he really understands that perspective, and performed well as the tennis phenom who burned out in "the royal tennenbaums". I give him a B+ in my book. lol

No, I think Owen Wilson is a good actor. He was very good in Wedding Crashers

He is a pretty good actor. But why do he always get pared up with that Ben Stiller. it's like they're they are a couple and can't have one without the other But I like ther movies.

I don't think he's a bad actor! I loved him in "The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou" and "Zoolander".
