My boyfriend recently had his psycho ex-girlfriend tell him she was pregnant and that she would put him on child support... the thing is, she said she had been pregnant for about 2 months now and just told him she hadn't been on birth control for a while. He feels trapped knowing that she told him a child isn't what she wanted right now, but she also didn't have the integrity to let him know she wasn't on birth control anymore. I'm wondering if the child is really his being that she waited 2 months later to tell him, and knowing that when they were together she cheated on him numerous times with plenty of other guys.

We feel she's only doing this because she doesn't want him to be happy with me (or any other girl), and she's jealous and crazy too. Not to mention she does need the money. Can he defend himself in any kind of way? What are the most beneficial or easier options if we have to agree to his child support? We're both 19.

It is obvious that he will need to ask for a paternity test when the baby is born. If it is his - he will pay child support for the next 18 years. That is the law. When will guys stop to think about the ramifications of having casual sex? It is not ALL the girl's fault - no matter how "easy" you say she is. Maybe if guys stopped to think that brief hour or so of sex could end up costing them between $70,000 to $100,000 ( the average child support for 18 years) - it wouldn't seem quite worth it!

He'll be required by the court to have a paternity test (because she says it's his). If it is, he'll have to pay, based on his income.

There is no way to get out of child support, once she has it drafted from his paychecks, that is in the government's hands (either state, city, county) and the only way to avoid it is to change jobs when they find out...BUT, the more times you change a job, the less likely you are to find another. It looks strange when you can't hold down a job.

birth control is a matter of equal responsibility since he didnt take his share of the responsibility then if the kid is his he is stuck with the bills that come with it
he was a fool to get with this type of chick without wraping it up considering how many times she cheated on him

since you are only 19 the best advice i can give you is to run and dont look back you dont need a man with this type of drama in his life not to mention the baggage if the kid is his

he really needs to clear up all the ex drama before he is really capable of being a good boyfriend to you you deserve better

As a guy, I have been there, with my ex-wife's girlfriend. I got a paternity test, and it proved that I wasn't in any way the father. This really frosted the ex, as she was trying to create a problem between me, and my current wife.

She must prove that he is the father. Simple as that...usually through a paternity test that he really can't refuse.

If she does he has to pay based on your state's rules...if he isn't the father leave her behind.

And there is no law against "tricking" into pregnancy..it would take a very progressive judge to rule that she trapped him.

First of all tell her he will demand a DNA testing when child is born.
Second that he will demand full custody if the child is his.
Third he will ask the court to make her pay child support.
That will r\take the wind out of her sails.

Then spread the word around the neighborhood she is easy. Let all the dudes start hitting on her, and offering her $20.00 for a quickie and she will be to busy to try to screw with you.

a parternity test is ur best hope ,hopefully it comes out not his, but if it does he will have to pay child support they will take half his paycheck , there not alowed to take more than that , if he has more than one child then they will just take half and split it between the how ever many kids he has, but other than proving the kid ain't his he's not gonna get out of paying child support.

If she is really pregnant, get a paternity test. Solve the mystery and move on.
