Hi i wana become an computer ADMINISTRATOR but i dont know how. I go to the user accounts thing but there is no option to change account type. I need to donload something and i need to be the administrator. Please HELP thanks!

1. Open User Accounts in Control Panel.
2. If you see an account named Owner, rename that account with your name. The Owner account, with computer administrator privileges, is created during installation if no user accounts are set up at that time.

You'll have to ask whoever the computer belongs to to change your status under their log in ID, probably a parent.
