A prefered, exciting time to visit Napa Valley would be during Harvest Season. Not only are the wineries harvesting grapes, but the wineries are also celebrating it by having fun festivals, tasting seminars, etc.

Harvest Season generally will be from Early Septmeber to early October. It mainly based on weather.

If you going to be staying at a hotel that provides Concierge assistance, ask your concierge when Harvest will happen.

Other reasons you'll enjoy the September time is of course because the vineyards are GREEN, and just begings to age to yellow. This provides for some spectacular photographs to take home.

One last reason for this time is because of the weather. You'll find that because we're just escaping Summer, it will be in the mid 70's during the day, and high 60's during the evening. That kind of weather makes outdoor patio dining the best.

Well November is like a cold time because its going to start raining. If you ask me you should go in the Summer because that's when you can get fresh and new wine there. The best thing about it is that they will cost cheap because they have a lot and they need to sell everything fast.

october is better. Wineries are still usually doing crush. November can be odd for weather. Sometimes it is nice and warm in the 70s. other times it can be cold and rainy.

there will be less tourists in October and fall color may still be there. fall came really late last year, almost thanksgiving time I think.
