How to calculate require FTEs (resources) to take over Technical Support for existing system?

We want to take over few system support and have to propose cost for the same. I ll be highly obliged and txn in advance, If anybody suggest some cost model..

First, I'm certain you're aware that FTE stands for "full time equivalents." The is the number of full time people required for the job. The cost model is rather simple, given that the support system already exists. Just get an estimate of the total number of hours per week required to support the system and divide by 40. Include a multiplier in case the system isn't working very well. If the goal of your proposal is to improve the performance by say 30%, multiply the above number by 1.3.
