I have recently found out that a certain building company has built some faulty homes...mine included. Nothing has been done so far to correct the problems.

You could start by writing a letter to the better business bureau.

My dad had some problems with a plumbing contractor who did some work at his house and then was totally unresponsive when it came to getting a proper invoice to the insurance company.

He wrote a letter to the BBB and copied the president of the plumbing company.

They couldn't respond fast enough at that point. They kept calling "What can we do to address your concerns?" "What info does the insurance company need?" "What can we do to make you happy?".

That seemed to have done the trick. Problem has been resolved now.

It's not surprising.I am in the building trades. What I see is that the big contractors are using illegal immigrants at every stage of the process. The people are landscapers one day, then the next day they have the experience to frame million dollar homes. The building companies don't care about quality, and you are pretty much forgotten as soon as the salesperson hands you the keys.Good luck trying to communicate to the workers they send to do your repairs.

You are likely going to need to file a class action lawsuit.

Search around first though, there might already be one happening and you can be added to the list.
