i was wondering if i could tivo a pay per view then burn it to a disk?

i have direct tv and a direct tv dvr hooked up to a dvd burner and i have it wired through a dvd burner so could i just burn the dvd while it is playing?

That may work, but it would be easier to let it record to your dvr, then select the "copy to vcr" option and let it out put the signal in to your dvd recorder. If there is a copyright protection on the PPV, it may not allow the dvr to output that video though.
