Can give me a quick summary of what happens in Chuck Palahniuk's book Invisible monsters. Was it a good book? I don't know if I should read it or not.

The story follows three characters including the narrator as they travel across the United States.
Initially the only named character is Brandy Alexander, with the other two characters living under assumed identities. The story is narrated by Daisy, a name given to her by Brandy Alexander (the narrator's real identity is revealed in the end of the novel.)
Over the course of the novel, the narrartor recounts the events that led up to her current situation. She was a beautiful young fashion model until she became the victim of a near-fatal shooting that leaves her disfigured as it completely destroys her lower jaw.
During her stay in the hospital the narrator meets Brandy Alexander who encourages Daisy to use her tragedy to completely change the way she lives her life.

Characters
"Daisy St. Patience" — Former fashion model, narrator.
Brandy Alexander — A woman Daisy meets during her stay in the hospital. Brandy encourages Daisy to hide her disfigurement and attempt to live a new lifestyle.
Evie Cottrell - Fashion model. Daisy's best friend.

Was it good? Well. I'm prejudiced. I like everything I've read by Palahniuk. I thought it was VERY good.

A pretty girl gets her face shot off and setts off across country with a trans-sexual and her boy friend (upon whom she is taking secret revenge). They live off scams and selling prescription drugs. It is a book of secrets and secret identities written in true Palahniuk style. Nothing is what it appears to be.
