Hi Amanda,
I would guess that you'd want to match the decor in your bathroom, however if you go with a color that isn't neutral, you have no flexibility in changing the layout. I would also take into consideration whether you plan to sell the house anytime soon or whether you are renting. In my opinion, neutral colors like white always work best. Not too much of a big deal though considering what goes on here :-)

Myself I would probably choose white or pine, but it really depends on what will go with the colour theme in your bathroom

i say a white wooden one - the white looks clean and fresh, and the wood has a nicer quality about it than plastic!
but i suppose it depends what coloured toilet you have too, it would look terrible on a dark coloured suite!

I choose a Grey one, because it matched my Grey tile. If I put a white one It just wouldn't have look good. Go with the colors you have in the bathroom not.
