Well off hand i can't think of any reason why the west should allow Iran to have nuclear power.unless we in the west convert to radical Islam and we start beliving that we will have 40 Virgins in paradise if we become suicide bombers
.then again what good would 40 Virgins be to each of us if the body is blown to bits..
On the serious side the leader of Iran has stated that ISRAEL should be wiped from the face of the earth ,now thats a scary statement and this guy wants peace.I just can't believe that people in the so called Peace movement actualy believe that the Iranian government would not use a nuclear weapon against a nation that was opposed to radical islam.well i have to then ask who is trying to brainwash who.
I honestly believe that its time to take the gloves off now and keep up the pressure on IRAN and say NO to Iran having a nuclear capability .and do we realy want to wait untill IRAN gets the bomb when in such event the west just may in fact HAVE TO DROP THE BOMB ANY WAY.
Remember that Japan would not have surrendered as quickly as it did if the nuclear bomb was not used. and then it took 2 bombs to defeat them.
At that time in 1945 the Japanese believed almost religiously that their Emperor was a God , their soldiers and pilots commited suicide rather than surrender and all done in the name of their Emperor.WHY did members of the Japanese do this? they DID that because in their hearts they believed it was the right thing to do and save their honor
So we come forward 62 years and what do we see ..ISLAMIC EXTREMISTS believing that the west has to be obliterated all in the name of ALLAH and to force their beliefs on people that are not allowed to think for themselves.
These terror groups stop at nothing they dress up children pack their CHILDRENS pockets full of explosives and send them off to blow themselves up ...all in the name of ALLAH .and the realy scarey fact is that they actualy do believe THEY are doing the right thing.
So what does the west do wait and wait and wait some more then fall asleep and then wake up in a nightmare .....that is if we can wake up at all

While I have to agree that nukes in the wrong hands is something to worry about, you really have to look at Iran's history with the U.S. When the US chose to put the Shah in power back in the late 50's.,early 60's, The now ruling party was persecuted with the backing of the US. When the Shah was deposed back in 1979, of course those very people would want to get back at the U.S.and then add US led sanctions against Iran for the last 20 plus years , which has kept Iran from progressing in the same way as other nations have in the middle east and you have all the ingredients for at least a generation or 2 of Iranians having nothing but hatred towards the US. What do you expect? I don't mean to sound so cynical and I definitly don't want to see more war(s) but we all know that you reap what you sow. I am not siding with Iran here. I am trying to put everything into context. Cannot do much about the past other than try to learn from it which in this case, seems to have less significance than what we are being lead to believe is the future if we do nothing, nuke 'em, ignore them. Ghandi and Martin Luther King are 2 great examples to emulate here. There are enough other problems that adding another war or generation of American haters will help no one except the same people that continue to perpetuate this never ending cycle. Today's ally was yesterday's death to America chanter, did we have to nuke each of those? Has to be a better way... Has to be

Maybe the better question is to ask why those individuals are screaming "death to the west" to begin with?

Perhaps if the western powers were a little less concerned with dominating the rest of the world, then there would be fewer calls for their destruction, better quality relations, and less risk of "bad" things happening with technology that is conceivably the best and only real solution to the long term energy demands of the world.

I would be more than happy to deliver nuclear weapons to Iran. Air delivery, low yield, laser guided....

Peace begins when the last of your enemies die.

Precisely why we should deal with them NOW rather than wait for the day when they can make good their threats!
