it helps but the only way you are going to feel good about yourself is when you are happy with who you are and don't care what others think. Having people who care and love you helps but if you don't Love yourself you will never feel good about yourself

I don't think that's how it works. I think you have to feel good about yourself to get good friends... If you don't feel good about yourself, all of the friends you make probably like you at your worst (not always, but a good portion of the time). They generally don't do anything to make you feel better about yourself... But if you feel good about yourself, you'll attract people to you who are also positive and happy... then you just make each other feel better about yourselves! :D

Sometimes it can, depends on if they are good friends or not, good friends will tell you the truth even if its something bad and if you know and understand that when they say something bad its not to hurt you its just so you know then yes it makes you feel good knowing you have friends who can be honest regardless of wether it is good news or bad news

Of course. They're also a "sounding board" for ideas, for approval - or not. They're there to help you get out of your shell and socialize. Friends are always a plus.

yes. whenever i go someplace new i feel awkward. but then wen i have friends i feel relaxed and happy. its allways nice to know that someone has ur back. and yeah it makes u feel good about urself becuase you noe that ppl DO liek u
