well, i have to know what i need to get to make a volcano model for my assignment.


can you guys help me??????

the formula that I used recently is to add red dye to a bottle that was half full of of 3% hydrogen peroxide, swirl it up, then add a bunch of baker's yeast, and swirl it. The yeast forms an instant foamy crust and initiates the decomposition of the peroxide to oxygen to generate a flowing crusty foam that goes up and runs down the side of the bottle. Run a couple test runs yourself before trying the demonstration in front of others.

Baking Soda and Vinegar (with red food dye added) works well too!

You can use a 2' x 2' piece of plywood as the base for your volcano.
Then, you can use some clay or even play-doh to make the volcano itself.
You can use small stones, bits of grass, etc to decorate it.
Even go to a hobby store and buy some of the fake trees and stuff that model railroaders use for their setups to decorate the volcano.
