Anyone see the 300? yet.
GREAT, GREAT movie. Lots of action.
But also honor, family, courage, religion, all in one movie!!
My son says that the king's wife was the lady in the Bond movie Casino Royale (the banker who met Bond on the train...). Is that true? She did not look the same to me. Probably the stringy hair.
PS The 300 is a great example of what "strength training" is. You build your body up to the type of sport or job, or life, you have. NOT power lifter or body builder massive in size. Just what you require to live each day.

OMG! I just saw the film for the second time yesterday!! It is just amazing! I didnt want to see it at first, but all my friends were raving about it, and plus, the cinematography looked amazing. So I saw it. And afterwards, I wanted to go fight some Persians!
It was so much more than I expected. And how all of the battle scenes were in slow motion....just spectacular.
And, of course, the cinematography was great, just like I expected it to be.
But the kings wife....
If you want to know about her go to imdb.com
and look at the previous movies shes been in.

If you are looking for just entertainment then the movies is great. However, if you care about historical accuracy then the movie is disturbing. The screen writers twisted and embellished some aspects of the story to make it appear as a "hollywood hero story" at the expense of making some other "different": Xerxes I, Dilios (the one-eyed Spartan soldier), King Leonidas' trust in Spartan gods, the reason why just 300 soldiers were sent, the numerous "human freaks", King Leonidas' last words to Gorgo (King Leonidas' wife), number of non-Spartan fighters fighting with Sparta and surprisingly much more! The director should of had not said the story is 90% accurate; rather, its a perversion of the original story!

Hi, I just saw the film too and thought it was fantastic. I've looked at the casting for Casino Royale and I don't think Queen Gorgo and the woman on the train are the same person. Gerard Butler is wonderful! Glad you enjoyed it too.

Oh my goodness, the cinematography is absolutely beautiful in this movie. And I love how many of the shots are like pictures straight out of the graphic novel (which I haven't read; I know, I know). It's a gorgeous movie, and highly entertaining. Best script? Definitely not. But it sure gets your blood pumping.

No, I haven't seen the movie '300'. I do have a copy of Herodotus' 'The Histories' and Xenophon's 'Persian Expedition', and I'll be sure to read them next.

hmm...i didn't really enjoy it. the story was great, but it just didn't capture me like sin city did (frank miller's other graphic novel). i feel that the fight scenes weren't very action packed because they were all in slow motion :(
i do believe he is correct though, i think it's the same actress.

yes I saw it, it was okay, did you notice in all the blood scenes when the blood was spraying all over the place none of it went on the actors, big computer flaw.
