what would happen if i mixed these together H2SO4 and HNO3 ?

You will see a brown gas evolve as the sulfuric acid will protonate nitric acid, producing water and nitrogen dioxide, which is a severe irritant. This is the mixture used in organic chemistry to nitrate benzene rings. Obviously Lizzie has never mixed the two or seen it happen.

The onlyB is correct. The reaction takes time. Works for H2SO4 and HCL too and for the same reasons. Also takes time to occur. Both combos are not known very well because they are mixed and put to use fairly quickly in reactions. Mixing them results in products that generate heat and react with containers. Even Pyrex will take a durability hit over an extended period of time

Nothing actually happens, because they're all acids , both have H+(aq), they won't react with each other. No gases, water or solid are generated.
