Unless the original jurisdiction over his probation allows him to move, he won't be able to leave the state at all. Not even for a visit. To move, he has to apply for an interstate transfer, and if his probation officer refuses to allow the move, he's out of luck. In addition, if the receiving state where he wants to move refuses to accept the transfer, he's out of luck.

If he is allowed to move, the terms of his probation follow him where ever he moves to. So, if he has a 7 p.m. curfew in Indiana, for example, he will have a 7 p.m. curfew in Texas. The only way it can be changed would be for the original Court to change the terms of probation, or for the original probation department to change the terms, with the permission of the Court.

I'd suggest just waiting until the term of probation is over before moving.

Last I heard , a parole / probation could not relocate . . .
Everything would have to be pre-approved by the Probation supervisor and out of state moves are generally a no-no.
Moving without authorization would be a "flight" , but
Then he would not have to worry about 7 o'clock because
He would end up being in 24 /7 - around the clock !
