Maybe a gay person can't live life as a 'Christian' due to the way Christians have interpreted what is written in the Bible.
However, a gay person can take all the essential parts of a Christian lifestlye, believe in God, be kind to people, never judge people and live a good, happy life.

Catholic religion is not as dogmatic set of rule as many people want o expose, many Catholics and Christians believe in Astrology, reincarnation and all of them uses contraceptives methods, we have a central church that is not perfect but we recognise important to have a united thought but we don´t Lynch people, not expose them to public punishment, Yes, for becoming priest or official member in some way under payment of the church you should not have an ACTIVE GAY life, which means you can be gay but live without sex.
Mainly these days a Catholic is a person that believe in Saints and the Virgin Mary, and against the bad information many people may have rules are quite flexible for you to go to church, comulgate and participate in Baptisms, Marriage, confirmation or any other rites without absolutely anybody asking you for any personal question, some priest, the hardest ones may recommend women not to go on mini skirt, we are speaking about small villages churches.
The environment of Christianity, you can feel it in our churches at any time is very friendly, relaxed and open...

im not a christian, but i do have the basic christian values like, treat others how you want to be treated, try not to make your life crappier than it needs to be, and try and be a decent honest person etc. I think these things are more important than following the darker side of the so called gospel of truths.
All this does is make people resent their religion and feel guilty about being who they are. You are the one who is obviously feeling that your going against the christian faith in some way, and if you look at i like that then im more of a christian than you...but i dont have the guilt as i decide not to have the burden of religion hanging over me all the time(hyperthetically im saying). Im a good person because i want to be, not because i want a ticket to heaven. Maybe thats all that matters in the end.

People justify all sorts of stuff.
Why aren't women kept quiet in church?
Why are so many Christians wearing poly/cotton clothing?
Why do so many Christians get divorced and remarried?
Why do they Pollute their 'body temple' by smoking and/or drinking?
They all are justifying SOMETHING that their bible tells them not to do. Why? Because they intend to do it no matter what.
The really stupid part is if they intend to live their lives as they see fit anyway then why bother being Christian at all? It would be much more simple to just be who they are and forget about religion.
That's what atheists like me do.

Remember Christian is based on the word Christ. All one has to do is to follow his teachings, which are totally in conflict with some of the rest of the Bible.

My suggestion, living in the Boston area, where most people don't even pay attention to the fact that some people are gay, is to find a liberal church, like a Unitarian church, and feel them out. You may have to try more than one. You have the right to be gay, and the right to worship as you please, at least in America...here's a link I just found- perhaps you can ask someone more knowledgable...

Well, firstly people aren't 'born' gay. I will no doubt be slammed, but you do have a choice.
If you choose to remain gay and to be in gay relationships, then you can't truly become a Christian. You can live out the principles, however won't truly be a follower of Christ. You won't find that peace which passes all understanding.
Just as adulterers, fornicators, drunkards, necromancers, etc have no place in heaven, neither do those who are homosexual.
This isn't personal - just what is in the Bible.
I've had (still have) friends over the years who have been homosexual, pagan/wiccan, atheist, different Christian denominations (I'm Anabaptist which is different to Catholic, Protestant, LDS, JW, etc), and a dear friend happens to be Islamic: so I'm not condemning individuals, but try to show love to all and pray for those who cross my path.

I don't think it's possible as homosexuality is classed as a sin. You can try to justify it in your own mind (all religious people bend the rules to suit themselves somehow - look at Islam)or remain celibate.
