I think it does matter how one looks both in and out. Of course more importantly inside than out. I believe it is really important to have a good heart and be a decent, not perfect, TRUE person. As far and the outside goes I believe it is important b/c it is the first that some 1' sees. When I say this I am not talking about clothes, shoes and all those things that can come and go quickly but no matter what u wear or ure style preference I think is is important to take care of your hygiene, skin and hair.

Outside looks make ones life easier. Outside looks can ruin the inside. If you look hideous, and people treat you bad because of your looks your personality will be ruined. Most of us are brought up to think being good on the inside is all that matters. Then we find out that's just not true. Looks will win out every time.

Example: The band Queen, The front man Freddie Mercury, made the band work .. Take the same band and put Alford Hitchcock as the front man, The band would not have worked.

Out, most of the time.. Because if you look good, people will want to talk to you and hang out with u... But then again, if the person is good looking and mean inside, people will be avoiding him/her...

But Inside beauty is more important... once people get to know the person who's not fortunate to have good looks, they'll be able to see pass the image... On the contrary, if the person looks perfect but is obnoxious... u can't even deal or talk with him/her ...

It doesn't matter how you look as far as "pretty" or "handsome" but it does matter how you take care of yourself. Inside and out.

But if you are attractive inside you are most likely attractive outside too...because inside is what really counts.

Yes it does. We are judged by our appearance and our behavior. The judgement may be wrong but it still influences what happens next. Appearance comes first--it is called making a good impression. Behavior is important too, but it is secondary. We often overlook appropriate behavior because of the negative outward appearance of the individual.

I think it is also a matter of respect for yourself and others. If you are sloppy, it is like saying "I'm not important enough to take care of myself." Or, "Your opinion of me does not matter so I'm not bothering to look my best."

Your soul (or whatever you choose to call our personality, etc) is very important. What we are like as a person shines through to the outside.

Having said that, have you ever seen a naked person trying to get a point across taken seriously?

If you go to an important function such as a wedding, funeral, court hearing, etc - would you dress in raggy clothes?

We shouldn't be obsessed with our outward appearance, however we should take enough care to be neat, tidy, and appropriately dressed.

Though you should strive to be beautiful on the inside, it is true that people judge by what you look like on the outside. That said, you should try to look good being you.

It doesn't matter. But people try to make it matter, and thus, it becomes an issue in human affairs.

Many people think bad things about unattractive people, and good things about attractive people, without sufficient regard for other aspects of these people. We do our best as a species to overcome stupid prejudices. One hopes so anyway.

yes, your insides apperance will be of great help to any surgeon working on you and doing surgery. Your outside apperance influences those who would date you, how much money you make, the types of jobs you can do, and thousands of other things, all to varing degree.

In a perfect world apperance wouldn't matter, but we don't live in a perfect world in any way, shape or forn.
