I did. I grew up in the country and was able to ride around on my bike all day without my parents having to worry about me. There was this little creek a couple of miles down the road that me and my brother used to go playing in all the time. It had a miniature waterfall that was so fun!

we all have different kinds of childhood memories . for a time they seem good or bad later they change again and again .
i do know that most older seniors seem to remember there childhood memories better then recent ones and that they seem to remember only the good bits more so .
so was any ones childhood good or great that depends on when you look back.

I had a mongo-nasty childhood and so did my man. Hence the reason neither of us can maintain relationships. And yeah, that stuff does last into your 40's and 50's.

Reading these people's happy childhoods I don't know if I'm like, wow, people really can be normal, or I'm pathetically jealous. Guess it doesn't matter, we play the cards we're dealt.

Yes, I do. My wife had a very happy childhood. Her family was very close and they did a lot of things together. Her parents were the parents everybody loved and all her friends loved being at her house. I had a miserable childhood myself.

i think good or bad depends on you perception and outlook on life. do you make memories from the good or bad? i had a great childhood. parents were married, have 3 sibblings. great friends, NO JOB! lol I grew up poor, but very happy. my parents did not give me everything, but they worked very hard to give me what i had. for that i am very greatful

from about 2 to 4 years old. Like most responses, I wasn't in an urban setting. I lived in the Caribbean where I and about 20 cousins ran around all day outside without a care in the world. Then we moved to New York and it's sucked ever since.

I myself had a great childhood..... Oh i wish i can be 5 again.
I had loving & caring parents, cute little brother. Family environment was great. My mother gets most of the credit.

I had lots & lots of friends to play with. We used to play anything & everything.
School was great & all my best friends too.

Actually even now i have a great family life..... my parents have not changed & i love the way they treat me.

Oh u have made all those memories fresh again.....
Thank you.

I think my husband had a pretty good childhood, he grew up in Spain, which means 3-month-summerholidays and his parents had a house in the mountains, so he played outside all the time...thjaty must have been a lot of fun...
