Currently the US nation is the leading Superpower, as i am American i am some what biased on the matter. However arrogance is complex it can come from money or a superiority complex, but one of the biggest sources is power. I'm sure you know how that works, children in school who are arrogant are either wealthy or have power in numbers or both. President Bush is both wealthy and in a position of extreme power, and very few politicians for that matter aren't arrogant, to be where they are they have to have beaten others in campaigns which makes them feel superior, not that they are.

I tuly don't mean to be offensive...but have you read the postings of people on this forum when it comes to a question about America's standing in the world? The overwhelming majority claim America to be the greatest in the world...without any real evidence or explanation. It is part of the patriotics of America...that all citizens feel superior to other countries. So why should the president be any different. He assumes the role of the most powerful man in the world...that would fill anyone with arrogance!

Because most of the rest of the world is run by brainless wusses who would rather make a dollar than protect civilization. Consider how many countries were bribed by Saddam using illicit oil kickback money.

He thought he could afford it. But the American century is slowly but surly on the decline. That is sad for me because I love this country. Bush has contributed immensely to this decline in power.

When the rest of the world wants our money, our foreign aid, but don't support us when and where it counts, I would be arrogant also!!! I would cut the funding to these people and tell them if they need help, call France or Germany.
We have all these welfare nations wanting hand outs, but bad mouth the US nonstop

According to an interview with him he's not just a lowly American president he is aspiring to be a great world leader, whose faith in the God that appointed him to his holy task will be clear whose deeds will be remembered globally for all the school children of the future to study and to revere as the greatest.
In short, because he's a megalomaniac/warmonger.
