in my opinion well logically u can but emotionally i think its impossible, no matter what at one point you'll feel that u desperately need someone to talk to because holding in all ur dreams, fears, thoughts and feelings can drive you mad.
on the other hand friend are a great way to make business I'm not saying u only need friends to use them for personal gains, but friends can be connections, introduce u to connections or simply do u life saving favours.
the world is made out of potential friends and social circles, avoid them and they'll avoid u and u'll end up being cut off from the world, don't u think?:)

Yes it is possible because life is a survival and for that there are wars from the beginning.
It is true that we need friends and social circle but there is a limit for everything. We can survive without them, but we must learn how? for that keep mind clear and free from doubt and fear then you will not need anyone. You wil help yourself.
My advise, if you are living on this Planet Earth then I suggest please revise your thinking and try to live with friend and social circle. I guess these could not be fruitful to you but it is you which make things good or worst, it is our thought, think good get good. And key to success is Peace, Love and Harmony.

As much as people claim to be independent, we all need social interaction to remain in the realm of sanity. Even the most introverted, anti-social people need to interact.
To answer your question, I think we can all survive for limited amounts of time without friends or a social circle. Social networking allows you to get good jobs and other things. You ever hear of the old phrase "it is not what you know, its who you know." It is possible, but it would be extremely tough.

Of course it's possible but life will be easier and more enjoyable in many ways if you have family and friends.

the Only soldiers (in the U.S. Military) that operate ALONE...are the Snipers.....&thats just Temporary
ALL Soldiers,...(even the Special Forces) Operate in a Group
So,you see...Not even the ELITE soldiers can operate ALONE!
