With the success Mike Furrey and Roy Williams last year do you think the Lions will draft Calvin Johnson this year despite having wasted two first round picks on Charles Rogers and Mike Williams already?

No, they won't. Unless they truly don't know what they are doing.

They will either draft a QB, continue to improve the O-line, or trade the pick down. If its a QB, I see them drafting Brady Quinn, tho that is a bit high for him in my opinion. They can trade down and still get Quinn. Not many teams need QBs this year so it would work in the Lions favor. The other option is to draft Joe Thomas out of Wisconsin. With Thomas and off season acquisition George Foster, the Lions will suddenly have a pretty good line to work with. The options are there. Now we see what management will do with the choices.

No. The Lions will draft Brady Quinn because he had a good NFL Combine performance and he has a good work ethic. Jon Kitna isn't a long term solution at QB. Quinn will bring excitement to Detroit. I don't think Calvin Johnson will be a bust but the Lions wasted 1st Round picks on Charles Rodgers and Mike Williams.

I sure hope they don't. They have so many other positions they need to fill. The wasted picks on Charles Rogers and Mike Williams shows that they have terrible scouting for wide receivers. I think that if the Raiders stupidly pass up Jamarcus Russell, then the Lions desperately need to draft him. If Russell is already drafted by the raiders, the next best option for the Lions would be to trade down to get more picks and to draft Brady Quinn b/c Kitna is getting old and they need a young new guy there.

Doesn't Detroit keep drafting WR and don't have anyone to get the ball to them.....?????

Matt Millan has run this organization into the ground, Lions have talent yet haven't competed for a playoff spot in years. And every QB they have or get, it seems gets about 6-8 games at the job. They need more consistency at QB and Coach to have a realistic chance at being a better team.....and this is from a Barry Sanders fan.

Millen seems to be leaning more toward Joe Thomas! If they do draft CJ, I think he would retire b4 he steps foot onto the field, I'am sure he has nightmares about going to detroit!

wouldnt that be a sight. another wr. lol. although johnson is going to be the next big thing in the nfl, the lions need to focus on their O Line first.

no detroit does not need no more wide outs they need a qb because this will be like the 5th year detroit gets a wideout in the first round and that will be a waste of a pick

Well with Matt Millen in charge you never know. He seems to have an infatuation with drafting wide receivers.

No. Oakland will number 1 unless they are that stupid.Moss wants out and if you really think he will try for the Raiders you are a fool. He will destroy that team if they are stupid enough to keep him. Let him go, just not to Detroit.
