It is so very obvious we need a 3rd party in politics to push for campaign reform and tarrif reform and accountability from politicians. How can this be possible without the billions of dollars required to do so? I feel helpless in a country ruled by the rich that is sending the Middle Class into extiction. How can we educate the public that niether party is really interested in their well-being? The Free Press won't even help since they are run by big money. Can anybody else see the doomed path this country is headed down?

It is a probable idea which is less then possible. The problem is from the middle class down they are powerless. Why because they struggle each day with family matters and bills and both spouses must often times work to make it. Many families are one paycheck away from complete devestation. The Government keeps the masses down by their false promises. I am talking about both parties. How many times in our lives have we heard in the news by politicians the same false rhetoric. Health care, Social Security, Education, Taxes. Yet every years they actually do nothing. The two parties use bate and switch tactics to cause us to focus on other issues. Just look at all the current issues. all of them designed to make you and I fight each other and distract us from the real issues of this Country. A true honest man or woman could start to create a change in America, however the long term legislators and Senators corrupt these people with dollars. Remember these words- Social Security, Health Care, Education and Taxes. You will see them over and over and over, yet they will do nothing to fix the problems just false promises to obtain your vote

Unfortunatly we are a country of two parties. Having a third party has been tried, as we have seen. Ross Perot tried it and look what happened, we ended up with a lame duck. Now we have Ralph Nader running and running and getting nowhere. We have had a few people on third parties win, but, I just don't see it happen on a grand scale. I'm not even sure it's money that's keeping us from having a third party. We have enough trouble getting good people to run on the two major parties, I can't see what would happen with a third party.

I am afraid you are right! Without the time and money people can not change the laws that govern how people campaign. I think though that all segments of media should be required to allow certain amounts of time to each candidate to speak about their platforms and to discuss who they are philosophically. I think also that it would be great to not have any kind of political party backing up candidates. They should run on their ideas not on a partisan ticket. I really like Ronald T's statement. I am in complete agreement.

Sorry, you simply can't do it without a lot of money, or without a lot of volunteers. So, start soliciting volunteers. Start in your neighborhood.
