I am having a job recently and the first thing I find out is my General Manager is different. So I asked myself is he stupid or naive.

He is probably neither, do you know what his duties are and how to do them yourself? A smart man once told me that it isn't the loud people that you have to worry about, it's the quiet ones that make you think that they are stupid. Who told me that? My grandfather and he's been right more times about things like this than I can count.

My advice, sit back and watch him then ask a few questions of him and then make a decision. Most likely you will think twice afterwards.

By the way you express your problem (question), I'd suggest you look to know yourself first before condeming others to such a title.

You need to expand your question. You've stated he's different and that you've asked yourself if he's stupid or naive,but you don't actually ask anyone a question......Or describe why you think he's different....

might be both. at our company, the promotions go to the ones who cannot perform and produce at their current level
