if you live in the uk it is around 20 weeks.you have to go through a small counciling session first before they will allow you to have an abortion. they just want to check you are doing it for they right reasons. if you are upto 8 weeks pregnant they will give you a tablet to swallow then 2 days later they give you a tablet that you insert using a tampon. everything will then come away when you remove the tampon. upto 16 weeks you have to have a general anistetic and they gently suck everything out. 16 weeks + you have to have a general anistetic and they normally have to do like a c-section to remove things. if for any reason they find a problem with the pregnancy they can terminate up to 36 weeks. it is usually done by having a tablet that will kill the baby and then they put you on a drip to start off contraction and you have to go through the pain of giving birth knowing that the baby is going to be still born. although i know these facts i would consider all your options before you go a head with abortion. abortion is not a nice thing to go through ( i know) but it could be for you that its not the right time or you can not afford to have a baby right now or weven be that you are too younge. but it is your decision no one elses. dont let people criticise you about your decision.

Check with your doctor or try Planned Parenthood. I think it's 12 weeks (in the USA) unless absolutely neccessary for the health of the mother. After that it is more dangerous for the mother. If you are past that point you can always consider adoption. I was adopted and had a wonderful life and have met my birth parents. It's kinda cool having my family, my in laws and my biological family. There are lots of people out there who can't concieve that would love to have a baby to love! Good luck!

12 weeks safely, i think it can go as late as 5 months so about 20 weeks. But it starts costing a lot of money and its dangerous to both mother and baby.
i heard once of a girl who had an abortion and it didn't work and about 3 months latter she found out that she was still pregnant. She went through all of that stress of an abortion, and then found out she was still pregnant. I would look into adoption. LOTS OF PEOPLE... like my aunt.... have problems so they can not conceive. Their body rejects the fertilized egg. Look for a family that would love to raise your child. Look for one that will let you still be involved. it would be a better decision.

I think after 12 weeks you can't, unless you go to a state that does a late abortion, but before you do it think about the physical and emotional pain you will have to go through for years to come.

It all depends on the situation.
Where i live, i think its up until 14 weeks, but if the pregnancy is going to cause SERIOUS physical or psychological damage to the women, then they can do it up to 18 weeks in some areas.
Hope that helped, and dont listen to the religious freaks who will criticise you for posting this question.
It is your life, and your body.
Good luck.

Uk is up to 14 weeks, and even if they allow it after this time its an act of cruelty past 14 weeks unless the mother is in danger or the baby has serious health problems.
