If they had a fun personality heck yeah....what difference does it make as long as we can communicate and have a good time???? Disabilities don't make a person who they are....

I don't have a problem with it, but some might if they don't know how to sign. We were taught basic signing in the school I went to, and I think it should be taught in all schools so people won't be intimidated to hang out with someone deaf. And by the way, deaf people are normal too.

They probably would, but as a Deaf person, I hate when the first reaction to me is "hey, look, it's the deaf guy"
I'll repeat what I said in English Composition class over 15 years ago:
Yes, I'm deaf. But I can do anything you can do, as well or better.
I'll add to that this tidbit:
Being deaf doesn't make me dumb, but it can make a lot of people around me dumb.

I work with deaf blind people, and they are truly some on the most funniest people I've ever been blessed to know!
If you are friends with someone their disability should be no barrier to the friendship.
And if somone won't hang out with you because of your disability - then they are not worth knowing.

I was going to answer "Yes I do". Then I got to thinking ,
" Would I be classed as normal though?"
So.... if you mean normally hearing but slightly batty people- then I stand up.
I have to admit one of my secret joys is watching my deaf friends swear in Sign and knowing that others around us don't get it! I know it is childish, but it puts a secret smirk inside my head!

The only problem is communication, if you don't know sign language. However, I have a deaf friend and we have gotten around that problem, we just text each other.

One of my friends is half deaf and she's cool as f**k, and I don't mind having to repeat myself sometimes.
I often mumble things, forgetting I need to get her attention before I speak but it's ok, I mostly talk BS anyway :)
For me it makes absolutely no difference.
