Cheap Hotels/Motels in Southern Johore Bahru for Transit stay(6-8hrs)?

Does anyone know of any hotel/motels in the southern sector of Johore Bahru(near to Singapore) which offer a decent ambience at a cheap price for a transit stay?..

JB is not a transient point. It's got lots of cheap hotels but with basic necessity. Where do you arrive from? If you only have 6-8hrs maybe you should just worry about the bed.

Since you're not arriving in JB on an International flight you may as well stay in KL. (Genting) or Singapore (Inn Crowd).

Actually you could spend a great 6-8hrs in Singapore's Terminal 2 with the best ambiance around, inclusive of free movies, showers, rest areas, etc. On arrival you can go there and clear Immigration/Customs when you're ready.

you could try the motels in Skudai, ard 15-20minutes away from the causeway by car, near the university. A decent bed could cost around 20-30 ringgit. but then again, it would be rather far from town.

if you're willing to fork out around RM120 for a room, then you could always visit Seri Malaysia (near the Larkin bus stand so it won't be hard for you to get back on your bus back to singapore) . Check out ( http://www.serimalaysia.com.my ) for more info.

I believe there are also quite a number of motels around the JB /citysquare area, that permit hourly stays, but I can't make any recommendations, sorry.
