I cannot speak for why other people voted for Mr. Bush, I can only speak for myself. The main reason I voted for Mr. Bush the second time is because I felt like the alternative was worse. In the intervening years since the election John Kerry has done nothing to make me believe I made the wrong choice. In fact he has reinforced my decision with his actions several times.

Edwards would have kicked Bush's *** but wasn't appealing to the Dem Machine.

Yes, he was elected twice because he led us to victory in Iraq in about two weeks, protected us from further terrorist attacks, and also because the country at large doesn't trust Democrats in the White House because the last two were disasters: Carter and the impeached Bubba boy.

Our Mission going in to Iraq was to overthrow Saddam and take Baghdad, so he was right. That may have helped, but I doubt it.
