If your file is more than 4.487 gigs then it wont fit on a standard DVD. Try splitting the file with Avi...splitter.
Google avi splitter and download the file.
Before you do this make sure of three things
1. Use Quality DVDs (cheap ones malfunction sometimes)
2. Make sure you are putting a DVD into a DVD burner and not your CD burner.
3. Make sure your Software (eg Nero) is set to burn a video or Data DVD otherwise it will not function properly,
If you still have problems try computer geeks (on line) and they will assist.

Insufficient information to answer.
Try telling us more about the problem - what software are you using, hardware, what are you trying to put on it? A DVD can only hold 4.3 GB data no matter what format its in. 2 hours of video at SP. Check your file size, has to be more than the disc capacity.

Well that all depends on the burning software that you are using. If it happens to be Nero (6.0 or newer) I suggest the following
Go into the options and look for "over burning". It's a setting that allows you to burn more data than normal; however the chances of the burn erroring out will increase.
Also, if it's just data that you are burning, try condensing it using a condensing software such as Winrar.

If a single layer disc is not enough, you can purchase dual layer disc, which give you realistically about 8.3-8.1 GBs of space. Or, you can purchase compression software like WinZip.
