My oblivion disk recently god a little scratched (not very deep although my 360 wont run it . its mainly along the edges) because my bro knocked my 360 over while I was playing. Do things like the game dr work for scratches. Or I've also heard from my dad that you can freeze a CD and that doing that crystalizes/ realigns the molocules in the CD causing the scratch to be fixed. Does anyone know any ways to fix it because I really like that game and I just got shivering isles

We bought one of the kits, and it was from Memorex and it was called OptiFix. It works great and I can't believe how many games and dvds it has fixed. We have small children and we are constantly getting scratches. Good luck.

Alot of gamestops sell things called Game Doctors. Dont use disk doctors because they may potentially screw your game up even more. The game doctor also puts this wierd fan-like mark on the back that does not affect the game, but will affect its value. Last time i checked, gamestop deducts 3 dollars for games with this marking. Also, it may not be the disk thats making it not read. Alot of newer games like Saints Row in particular, and oblivion as well, sometimes bring up the white screen that says "To play this disk, put it in a xbox 360 console" in like 8 different languages. Also, sometimes it does the "Play DVD" thing instead of "Play Game". Its most likely you are using a much older 360 version. nothing to worry about, as it seems just opening and closing the disk tray without touching the disk sometimes works, though you may have to do it several times. Its that way with me when i want to play saints row, and it is brand new.

I have a friend who used the Game Dr. on his discs and it worked fine.

Don't, however, use one of those cleaning discs for your system. Instead, try compressed air.

Hope this helps!
