IT SEEMS BUSH MADE IT CLEAR IN THE BEGINNING OF HIS WORK THAT HE WAS OUT TO GET IRAQ, AND THE MIDDLE EAST. I'VE REALLY WONDERED WOULD 911 EVER HAPPENED IF GORE HAD BEEN ELECTED. IT'S A FAIR QUESTION I THINK.

America had already been threatened and the World Trade Center was attacked in 1993 among other things! Radical Islam was killing millions of people and rattling their Scimitars at all democracies! It probably would have been even worse, seeing that it was on their watch (Clinton\Gore) that the military was nearly downsized into nothing and all those military installations closed. It was on their watch that Open Borders began allowing thousands of Illegal Aliens into the country and security measures were not upheld. By now you would be issued your turban, burka and camel at 1/2 off, to keep Global Warming at a minimum!

That attack was hatched long before, took a mind-boggling amount of planning. Perhaps a Gore administration might have paid more attention to the intel and there's no point trying guess whether it would have or not. Since agency bureaucracies do not change with each administration change, I tend to doubt the outcome would have been much different. It wasn't just the politicians who ignored the info, so did the bureaucratic wonks.

Hum. Seems like Bush was only in office, let's see, less than 9 months when 9/11 happened. That really took some doing for it to take less than 9 months to get planned and executed....what a man!

Believe it or not we did have a few presidents before him, though you Bush haters seem to forget that. I would put the blame more on say the worthless Carter, Bush senior and Clinton, more so than a president of less than 9 months, unless of course you are trying to say Bush is Superman

I don't think that 911 had anything to do with the presiding president. I think THEY were out there to get us, and they did. No matter who would have won the presidency.
We were after Iraq, and this was a just cause to use it to invade.
Unfortunately many people had to die, during and post 911 for that cause.

Yes. Al Gore would have been busy saving the planet from global nothing so Magma and Isabelle could write far fetched answers on the Internet that Al gore invented in his make believe world.

Not only would it have happened, but, more would have happened since he would have done nothing to stop further action. He would have gone to the UN and had sanctions imposed on Al Queda. The UN would then sit on its hands and do nothing but continue to impose more sanctions against a group with no country. Gore would have negotiated our Freedom away at some point as a lesson for us to live with these people without fighting until he had given them all they wanted. At that point Al Queda would have been a sanctioned religion in our country with a government grant to support them.

If Gore had been elected President, we would all be under Islamic rule, our women would be in burkas, and all bacon would be outlawed.

No, I'll stick with George Bush over that idiot Gore any day of the week!

Kind of makes you wonder why the Islamic terrorists went through the trouble of trying to drive explosives into the parking garage of the WTC during Clinton's terms...

Wake up. Islamic terrorists have been attacking our embasies, kidnapping our troops, and suicide bombing American interests since 1979 they are at war with us and it has nothing to do with G. W. Bush. They've opposed us for decades before he came to office and they will continue to do so after 2008.

Probably earlier. After all he was VP when the terrorists hit the WTC the FIRST TIME.
