Try adding the numbers from the conquered countries, Belgium, Holland, France, Italy, Rumania, Hungary, Poland, and of course the Ukraine and other Soviet territories.

First off...the holocaust was definately a reality, and to say otherwise-would be truly foolish! I generally agree that the largest group to be victimized by this attrocity were Jewish! But I am not so certain about the 6 million figure, that gets thrown around by the various accounts of this dark period in history! Because just about anyone whoever opposed the Third Reicht...ended up being disposed of this way! And could just as easily had a tattoo and a 'Star of David' placed on them-even if they were not Jewish!!! I am certainly inclined to believe that the majority of the victims were jewish, but thousands 'maybe millions' more were not. This does'nt make me a Holocaust Denial case,I just feel that somethings are overlooked too conveniently...when this argument comes to the forefront by people who have a vested interest in this argument! I expect that there will always be some biases on the exact numbers, but will we ever really know the full truth??? Who was recording the numbers? What records-if any...were kept? How many victims were unaccounted for-did they even die at one of the Death Camps? How many wandered off...never to be seen again? Were they executed,or did they go into permanent hiding? Is 6 million a fair figure,or a really broad based assumption? I really don't think that we'll ever know the full outcome in real numbers, but indeed the Holocaust did happen-and its scars will be around for along time to come! Has for the fellow who responded to readers with going to the web page called "JewWatch", I suggest you give your head a serious shake-and think about what you are advocating! You've never had to dig up all those remains in the mass graves in Europe, and if you had to-I don't think you'de be too quick to open your mouth and support another one of those 'Conspiracy and Denial' websites. You make it plainly clear that you have a dislike for Jews, and that is your problem. Not those of us who are answering this Blog-properly and maturely! I suppose that once you've read my response, you would conclude that I am probably Jewish-Right??? Well guess what? You would be very, very WRONG!!! theerrander

I'm not familiar with any 'Gravity bombs' killing victims of the holocaust, as we 'The Allies' were trying to save them! They were victims of the Third Reich. And Nazi Germany's prisoners in the concentration camps who were used as slave labour. So why would the Allies bomb them? I think your history is slightly wrong unless you are saying some were killed mistakenly by Allied bombing which obviously does occur in most wars! I believe the total killed in the gas chambers is about six million then you have to add the deaths caused by stress to their families that survived! Have a good day!

The number of holocaust victims is form all over Europe. it was approximately 6 million Jews there were 11 million in Europe prewar. There were another 5 million killed that were mentally ill, disabled, Gypsies, homosexuals, Jehovah's Witnesses, Slavs. This doesnt even count the ones maimed by medical experiments and tests. Or the civilians killed by Allied and Axis bombings.

If anything the figures are low. I’m old enough to remember those who fought in that war just after it ended. Friends of the family and one relative were among those who entered these camps of death and we still have photographs (in the family) they took. Then too (as I got older) I met some people who were prisoners in those camps. It is real. It happened. The numbers are not exaggerated. This particular issue has been debated and investigated many times and the facts support these numbers.

The comments of agameo001 are interesting in that they represent a current trend of a few individuals disregarding facts to promote some personal agenda. You can decide the worth of his statements by checking back on agameo001’s previous questions and answers. What are their motivations is difficult to ascertain but their actions are closer to the propaganda produce by the Nazi government than anything to do with the facts. Their efforts demonstrate disrespect for all of those who fought to end World War II.

The numbers are right but even more terrifying was what would have happened had to Nazi's won. He was planning basically to exterminate any group of people he considered racially tainted.
To put that in perspective, white people who were not germanic looking were to be slaves, darker skinned whites likes Spaniards and Italians would eventually be slaughtered. As for everyone else they're fate would have been much more immediate. That man was complete bonkers, Thank God we won!

You're only estimating the German population. Jews were taken from all over Europe, not just Germany. So the figures are not inflated, they are quite accurate.

It was such a horrific incident that even today we have problems believing what happened. The saddest thing about the same still happens in Africa and no one cares. Its happening in Zimbabwe as I am typing this.

For all we know there were many more who were lost and will never be remembered.

Hate to tell you, but those numbers are accurate.

it would be more deflated than inflated ,many details of deaths and disappearances or torture never saw the light of day
must have been thousands more in reality
