Giant squids are found in all three oceans, mainly in cooler temperate waters. Until recently their natural habitat was unknown as they were found mainly from strandings and from the stomachs of sperm whales.

Giant squids are known to live in oceans. However, they are known to live deep underwater. You won't find them in any ordinary aquatic center though as they are extremely hard to catch and locate.

I know they live off New Zealand and one was picked up alive a couple of months ago off antarctica. There is a scientist in NZ who is called the squidman as he the leading expert on them.
